Giving Back While Going Green: James O’Regan’s Snowblower Story

At YARMAND, we believe in creating solutions that benefit everyone—our customers, our community, and the environment. When James O’Regan reached out, his request became an opportunity to make a bigger impact.

“I had a gas snowblower I wasn’t using much anymore,” James explained. “I wanted to donate it and asked if YARMAND could help.” While we’re not a charity, we work closely with the Ottawa Food Bank Campaign.

Through a quick chat, we discovered James was also interested in upgrading to a battery-powered snowblower.

​That’s when a win-win-win idea took shape. We offered James a trade-in credit for his gas snowblower, which could then be donated as part of our Ottawa Food Bank campaign.

“YARMAND said, ‘We’ll trade in your gas blower, and you can donate the credit toward the campaign,’” James shared. “It was perfect! I got rid of my gas snowblower, supported the Food Bank, and now I have a brand-new EGO snowblower.”

This collaboration led to:

• A better solution for James: Upgrading to a battery-powered snowblower for cleaner, quieter performance.
• Support for the community: A meaningful contribution to the Ottawa Food Bank campaign.

“I got to work with a local business that’s already giving back to the community. It felt great to be part of something so meaningful,” James said.
